About Us

Bramble Wood Alpacas is situated about three Kilometers north of Lake Erie in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. My wife Calista and I (I’m Wayne) were looking for an animal with a niche market that would do well on our fifty acre farm for quite some time. Alpacas are that animal.

Although we are relatively new comers to the joys of alpaca breeding my wife and I have raised animals of different species for most of our lives. We also have experience in marketing hand made products and Calista is a talented knitter and crocheter. We intend to add spinning to these other talents so that we can take the raw fiber from the back of our alpacas and process it into handmade garments which we will market on line and at craft shows.
